Lug label collection, 1890-1940.

The Lug Label Collection consists of approximately 2000 lithographed labels created primarily for containers of oranges, lemons, and apples. The labels span the years 1890-1940 with the majority of them from distributors from California's Central Valley. The collection can provide researchers with examples of the evolution of art advertising and California agricultural history.
